Work and play

This past week, I created some art just for myself, sent a few cards, and fulfilled an order.

Stampin’ Up, Distress Ink, some random baker’s twine.

I made a bunch of this sympathy card.  Its simplicity allows it to be used it lots of situations.  A friend and customer was happy to receive a set of 6 to use when she needs them.  I sadly, had to send a few, and hope it gave a little bit of comfort to those who received them.  Send cards, folks.  It helps.

The other project I worked on was purely play.  I painted!  On canvases!  With paintbrushes!  Spoiler alert, complete amateur, but man, was it fun!

Dylusions paints, stencils by Dina Wakely, Dylusions, and Tim Holtz.

I know, I know, I just used stencils, but still, I’m psyched about actually getting off my butt and trying something new.  Did you see that check mark on blue lady’s (Nadine?) cheek?  I have no idea where that came from, but I’m diggin’ it.  Kind of like an a-okay from beyond!  Next stop, art classes?
